Hespeler Skating Club (HSC) is a provider of Skate Canada programs to skaters. All of our coaches are a minimum of Level 1 certified through the 3M National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).

As a registered member club of Skate Canada, our main purpose and goal is the development and enjoyment of each skater.

Throughout the season, there are a variety of fun events planned for skaters and their families, ending off with our impressive Ice Show.

UPDATED Skate Canada Response: COVID-19 Following up on the communication dated March 12, 2020 regarding Skate Canada’s COVID-19 response, the situation has changed rapidly since that time and we have revised our position.

Effective immediately, all Skate Canada, sections, clubs and skating schools are instructed to follow guidelines outlined by provincial and municipal governments, as well as their respective Skate Canada section. Depending on your jurisdiction, some clubs and skating schools may be required to suspend all or some activities.

In addition, in order to limit transmission of COVID-19, all Skate Canada-sanctioned events and activities that involve 250 participants or more are suspended until further notice.

The Cheryl Maltby Memorial Bursary Award

The Cheryl Maltby Memorial Bursary Award was set up in 2015 to honour the memory of an amazing coach and friend of the Hespeler Skating Club.

Cheryl was a coach with the Hespeler Skating Club for over 25 years. She began her skating career in her home town of North Bay, Ontario at the age of 7 and was a competitive skater for most of her youth. Her love of skating was evident to everyone she met.
